The Event

20 Plein Air Artists are invited to sign up to for two/three days of painting the late fall extravaganza of colour and intensity in and about the the hills and coast surrounding Parrsboro, NS. This is a non competitive event. Since the beginning artists  have felt the event has the aura of a retreat, an opportunity to paint and share thoughts and experiences.  Plein air painting as a finished piece or as inspiration?  We embrace both.. In fact this year we can offer the gallery as your studio should you want to finish your plein air inspired piece without the distraction of far too many distractions.

The Exhibition - October 18 - Nov 1

Two works from each of the artists will be on exhibition from October 20- Nov1. All works will be for sale and represent our extended community in all its splendor.  A wonderful opportunity to collect a piece of art from one of these artists.

The exhibition opening will be held on the last day Oct 18.

How to Sign Up - 

• The first 20 artists to submit their letter of commitment to participate will be the 20 participating artists. Registrations will be accepted from  August 1 onward.
• All artwork submitted for exhibition must be begun and completed en plein air during the event.
• All artwork must be framed for exhibition. - Two pieces will be accepted for exhibition. All art work must be no larger than 26" wide including frame. A gallery wrapped formatted piece does not need to be framed but the edges must be painted.
• Artists are encouraged to attend the opening on October 20
• There will be a 30% commission on art work sold.
